Jobsinthemoney.com, A Dice Company, ran an article discussing the results of a survey of 458 accountants. They found that 23% of the respondants are planning jump employers as soon as the economy gets better. Accountants have a high level of employee loyalty as a profession, but the survey reveals that despite that professional loyalty we may have a blip in the other direction.

Check out the jobsinthemoney.com Accountant Job Survey article and share your thoughts with me. I’d like to see what you accountant types think.

Hope this helps!

I think this is an accurate statement. I think most people are holding on to their current position simply out of fear. Once the job market improves there will be a mass exodus from people holding onto mediocre jobs and jobs they just don’t like. Accounting professionals are generally more conservative but won’t hesitate to walk given the opportunity.
